Showers and thunderstorms will continue this afternoon. Some thunderstorms may produce heavy downpours of rain and small hail. Temperatures will be steady or falling from the middle 40s in Madison. Temperatures will be closer to 50 degrees along the Wisconsin/Illinois state line, and temperatures will only reach the lower 40s north of Madison. Tonight will be mostly cloudy and colder with areas of drizzle early this evening. Another wave of low pressure will move in late tonight with light rain or snow showers developing toward daybreak Friday. Lows will drop into the lower 30s by early Friday. Friday will be mostly cloudy and colder with a chance of rain showers, possibly mixed with snow in the morning. Highs temperatures will reach the lower 40s.
Chilly air will move across Wisconsin for the weekend into early next week. Saturday will be mostly cloudy, windy, and chilly with a chance of light rain or snow, mainly in the morning. Some clearing is possible in the afternoon, and highs will only reach the lower 40s. Sunday will be increasingly cloudy, breezy, and not as cool with a chance of rain showers developing late in the day. Highs will reach the upper 40s. The rain showers may mix with sleet and freezing rain Sunday night.
Any mixed precipitation will come to an end early Monday. The remainder of Monday will be breezy and chilly with skies gradually becoming partly sunny. Highs will reach the lower to middle 40s. Tuesday will be increasingly cloudy, turning breezy, and not quite as cool with highs near 50 degrees.
Showers will develop late Tuesday or Tuesday night as another storm system moves into the area. Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms will continue Wednesday with breezy winds and highs reaching the middle 50s.
