A low pressure system in the Plains will move eastward toward Wisconsin, with a cold front moving through Wisconsin and northern Illinois later tonight. Mild and somewhat humid air ahead of the cold front will support thunderstorm development along and ahead of the cold front. A few severe thunderstorms are possible, with the main threats being hail and high winds. The greatest severe weather threat will stay south of Wisconsin, but an isolated severe thunderstorm may be possible through this evening over the far southwestern portion of the state, where the atmosphere will be a little more unstable. The severe weather threat will end with the passage of the cold front later tonight.
