Tonight will be mostly cloudy, mild and muggy with scattered showers and thunderstorms likely as a cold front approaches from the west. Temperatures will fall into the lower 60s by early Wednesday morning.
The cold front will push eastward through southern Wisconsin on Wednesday with a continued chance of rain. Wednesday will be variably cloudy and mild with scattered showers and thunderstorms, mainly in the morning. High temperatures will be in the middle to upper 70s. Wednesday night will become mostly clear and cooler behind the front, with lows in the lower 50s.
Pleasant weather will return later in the work week. Thursday will be partly sunny and pleasant with high temperatures in the middle 70s. Friday will be partly sunny and milder with high temperatures in the upper 70s. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will develop late in the day Friday or Friday night and will continue on Saturday. Saturday will be mostly cloudy with scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms. Highs will be in the lower to middle 70s. Sunday will be variably cloudy and breezy with a slight chance of showers. Highs will reach the lower 70s.
Conditions will be very pleasant to start the next work week with plenty of sun Monday and Tuesday and highs in the middle 70s.

NOTES:
The Storm Prediction Center says that there is a MARGINAL RISK of severe thunderstorms for today and tonight for extreme southeastern Minnesota, eastern Iowa, and western Wisconsin (west of a line from Park Falls to Janesville). A warm and somewhat humid air mass will be over the central Midwest ahead of an approaching cold front moving through Minnesota and Iowa by this afternoon. Scattered thunderstorms will develop along and ahead of the cold front, with isolated severe thunderstorms possible. The main threat will be from high winds and hail, and the severe weather threat will diminish overnight as the atmosphere becomes more stable.
There is a MARGINAL RISK of severe thunderstorms on Wednesday and Wednesday night across the northern half of Illinois, and extreme southeastern Iowa, and southeastern Wisconsin (east of a Monroe to Madison to Green Bay line). A cold front will continue to move eastward across the Midwest on Wednesday, passing through Wisconsin and Illinois. Scattered thunderstorms are likely along and ahead of the front, with isolated severe thunderstorms possible; the main threat will be high winds and hail. The severe weather threat will end with the passage of the cold front on Wednesday afternoon and evening.
