Skies will become mostly clear tonight, and it will be cold. Patchy frost is possible, especially in areas north of Madison. Temperatures fall into the upper 40s by late evening; overnight low temperatures will fall to the middle 30s by early Thursday morning.

Thursday will be mostly sunny and a little milder; high temperatures will be in the middle 60s. Thursday night will be mostly clear and not as cold with low temperatures in the middle 40s. Friday will be partly sunny and much warmer with high temperatures jumping into the lower 80s. 

A cold front will move into the area on Friday night, bringing a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Saturday will start out mostly cloudy with scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms ending in the morning. Skies will become partly sunny Saturday afternoon, but it will be a little cooler as high temperatures will fall back to near 70 degrees. Sunday will be mostly sunny and pleasant with high temperatures in the lower 70s for Mother's Day.

A slow-moving storm system will move across the Midwest next week. As the system approaches Wisconsin, skies will become increasingly cloudy on Monday, with a chance of showers and thunderstorms late in the day. High temperatures will be near 70 degrees. Tuesday and Wednesday will be mostly cloudy and mild with scattered showers and thunderstorms; high temperatures will remain near 70 degrees.
