Sunshine this morning will give way to clouds this afternoon as a cold front approaches from the northwest.  It will turn cooler as showers develop.  High temperatures will top out around 60 degrees midday; temperatures will hold nearly steady or slowly fall through the 50s in the afternoon. Showers will end this evening, and skies will become partly cloudy overnight. Patchy frost possible as low temperatures fall into the middle 30s. The best chance of frost will be in areas north of Madison. 

The weather will be very chilly for the weekend. Skies on Saturday will become mostly cloudy, and it will be breezy and very chilly with high temperatures in the near 50. As skies become mostly clear on Saturday night, areas of frost will develop as low temperatures fall into the middle 30s by early Sunday morning. Sunday will be variably cloudy and continued chilly with a slight chance of a shower in the afternoon. High temperatures will reach the middle 50s.

Monday will be partly sunny and milder with high temperatures in the middle 60s. Skies will become mostly cloudy Monday night with a chance of showers developing. The chance of showers will continue Tuesday with variably cloudy skies and high temperatures in the middle 60s.

Quiet weather will settle across the region for the second half of the work week. Wednesday will be partly sunny and seasonably cool with high temperatures in the middle 60s. Thursday will be partly sunny with high temperatures in the upper 60s. Friday will be partly sunny and mild with high temperatures near 70 degrees. A chance of showers and thunderstorms will develop on Friday night as a cold front moves in from the northwest.
