NOTES:

The Storm Prediction Center says that there is a MARGINAL RISK of severe thunderstorms for today and tonight for extreme southeastern Minnesota, eastern Iowa, and western Wisconsin (west of a line from Park Falls to Janesville). A warm and somewhat humid air mass will be over the central Midwest ahead of an approaching cold front moving through Minnesota and Iowa by this afternoon. Scattered thunderstorms will develop along and ahead of the cold front, with isolated severe thunderstorms possible. The main threat will be from high winds and hail, and the severe weather threat will diminish overnight as the atmosphere becomes more stable.

There is a MARGINAL RISK of severe thunderstorms on Wednesday and Wednesday night across the northern half of Illinois, and extreme southeastern Iowa, and southeastern Wisconsin (east of a Rhinelander to Stevens Point to Prairie du Chien line). A cold front will continue to move eastward across the Midwest on Wednesday, passing through Wisconsin and Illinois. Scattered thunderstorms are likely along and ahead of the front, with isolated severe thunderstorms possible; the main threat will be high winds and hail. The severe weather threat will end with the passage of the cold front on Wednesday afternoon and evening.
