This afternoon will be partly sunny, very warm, and humid with a very slight chance of an isolated shower or thunderstorm later this afternoon. High temperatures will be in the middle 80s, with heat index readings near 90 degrees. Tonight will be variably cloudy, very mild and humid with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Areas of fog may develop, and temperatures will fall into the upper 60s by early Friday morning.

As we head toward the Memorial Day weekend, a storm system will develop to the west of Wisconsin on Friday and should move to our north on Saturday. Friday and Saturday will be mostly cloudy, warm and humid with widely scattered showers and thunderstorms. High temperatures will be near 80. The chances for rain will decrease later in the weekend although a shower or thunderstorm can't be ruled out. Sunday will become partly sunny, warm and humid with a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm, mainly in the morning. High temperatures will reach the lower 80s. Memorial Day Monday will be partly sunny, warm and humid with a very slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm. High temperatures will reach the middle 80s.

The weather will remain warm and humid beyond the holiday as well. Tuesday will be partly sunny, warm and humid with a chance of showers and thunderstorms developing late in the day or overnight. High temperatures will reach the middle 80s. A cold front will move through Wisconsin on Wednesday, bringing mostly cloudy skies, and warm and humid weather with scattered showers and thunderstorms. High temperatures will be in the lower 80s.

It will be a little cooler and less humid late in the week with partly sunny skies and highs in the mid 70s Thursday and Friday.

NOTES:
The Storm Prediction Center says there is a MARGINAL RISK of severe thunderstorms today for the southern third of Minnesota, all of Iowa, all of Illinois, and all but far northwestern Wisconsin. A warm and humid air mass will continue to cover much of the Midwest.  Isolated strong to severe thunderstorms are possible. Hail and high winds will be the main threats.
