This afternoon will be variably cloudy, breezy and cooler with a slight chance of isolated showers east of Madison. Highs will be in the upper 50s and lower 60s, with warmer temperatures to the west. Skies will become mostly clear tonight with patchy frost possible in areas north of Madison. Temperatures fall into the middle 30s by early Thursday morning.

Thursday will be mostly sunny and milder with high temperatures in the middle 60s. Friday will be partly sunny and much warmer with high temperatures jumping into the lower 80s.

A cold front will move into the area Friday night, bringing showers and isolated thunderstorms through the area through Saturday morning. Skies will become partly sunny Saturday afternoon, but highs will fall back into the upper 60s. Sunday will be partly sunny and pleasantly mild with high temperatures near 70.

A slow moving storm system will then move across the Midwest next week. The track of the system is a bit unsettled, but at this time it looks like it will stay mainly just south of Wisconsin. This will lead to chances of showers and thunderstorms Monday and Tuesday with highs near 70. Slight chances of showers will linger Wednesday and Thursday as well with highs slipping back into the upper 60s.
