NOTES:
The Storm Prediction Center says that there is a SLIGHT RISK of severe thunderstorms Friday and Friday night for southern and eastern Minnesota, the northwestern third of Iowa, and west-central through central Wisconsin (south and west of a line for Hayward to Stevens Point to La Crosse). There is a MARGINAL RISK of severe thunderstorms for the rest of Minnesota (except for the far north), the rest of the southeastern two-thirds of Iowa, and the rest of the western three-quarters of Wisconsin (west of a line from Hurley to Green Bay to Beloit). A warm front will lift through Wisconsin on Friday as a cold front moves through Minnesota into northern Iowa. Very mild and a little more humid air will follow the passage of the warm front. As the cold front pushes into the mild air, thunderstorms will develop by afternoon, with a few severe thunderstorms possible, especially from eastern Minnesota into west-central Wisconsin. Hail, high winds, and isolated tornadoes are possible in this area. The thunderstorms will weaken slowly after sunset as the cold front pushes into Wisconsin, but isolated severe thunderstorms may be possible through the evening into parts of central and southwestern Wisconsin where hail and high winds will be the main threats.
