High pressure will influence the region tonight with mostly clear skies and comfortable temperatures. Temperatures will fall into the middle and upper 50s by early Tuesday morning.
Tuesday will be rather pleasant with partly sunny skies and seasonably warm highs in the lower 80s. An area of low pressure will move out of the west late Tuesday night and Wednesday with mostly cloudy skies and some showers and thunderstorms developing. Some storms could become strong or severe on Wednesday as the area of low pressure tracks right over southern Wisconsin or northern Illinois. Highs will reach the upper 70s to the lower 80s. As the area of low pressure heads to the northeast on Thursday, some clouds will linger and there will be a slight chance of showers. Highs will reach the upper 70s on Thursday.
High pressure will return on Friday with mostly sunny skies. Highs will reach the lower 80s.
The weekend will bring another chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly from later Saturday into Sunday. Saturday will be breezy, warm and more humid ahead of the low pressure system with highs in the middle 80s. Sunday will be another breezy, warm and humid day with showers and thunderstorms. Highs will again reach the middle 80s. High pressure will return Monday with partly sunny skies and highs near 80 degrees.
