A cold front will move into western Wisconsin tonight, and will push through much of the state by early Sunday morning. Skies will be mostly cloudy, and it will be mild and muggy with scattered showers and thunderstorms; the best chances for rain should arrive after midnight. Temperatures will only fall to near 80 degrees by late evening; overnight low temperatures will only fall to the lower 70s by morning.

Any lingering showers and thunderstorms will end early on Sunday as the cold front moves east of Wisconsin, otherwise, it will be partly sunny and very warm, but turning less humid. High temperatures will be in the upper 80s.

Quiet weather is expected for much of next week. Monday will be partly sunny and warm with high temperatures near 80. Tuesday will be mostly sunny and cooler; high temperatures will be in the middle 70s. Wednesday will be mostly sunny and pleasant with high temperatures around 80 degrees.

Thursday and Friday will be partly sunny and warm with high temperatures in the lower 80s. There is a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms on Friday.

For next weekend, Saturday and Sunday will be partly sunny and pleasant with highs near 80.

NOTES:
The Storm Prediction Center says that there is an ENHANCED RISK of severe thunderstorms for Saturday and Saturday night for east-central and northeastern Minnesota and northwestern Wisconsin (north and west of a Wabasha, MN to Eau Claire to Eagle River line). There is a SLIGHT RISK of severe thunderstorms across the rest of Minnesota (except for extreme western Minnesota), the northwestern half of Iowa, and the rest of the northwestern half of Wisconsin (west of a Prairie du Chien to Shawano to Iron Mountain, MI line), and a MARGINAL RISK of severe thunderstorms for the rest of Minnesota, the rest of Iowa, extreme northwestern Illinois, and the rest of Wisconsin. A very warm to hot and humid air mass will cover much of the Midwest on Saturday. A cold front moving through western Minnesota and northwestern Iowa will cause thunderstorms to develop along and ahead of it on Saturday. Some thunderstorms may be severe, with hail, high winds, and heavy rainfall as the main threats. A few tornadoes are possible where thunderstorms first develop, mainly in eastern Minnesota and northwestern Wisconsin. The thunderstorms should weaken a little as they push through Iowa into Wisconsin and northwestern Illinois later Saturday night; however, isolated severe thunderstorms with hail, high winds, and heavy rainfall may continue into the early morning hours on Sunday.
