NOTES:
The Storm Prediction Center says that there is a SLIGHT RISK of severe thunderstorms for tonight for extreme southeastern Minnesota, the eastern half of Iowa, the northwestern quarter of Illinois, and west-central through southwestern Wisconsin (south and west of a Rochester, MN to Stevens Point to Madison to Beloit line), and a MARGINAL RISK of severe thunderstorms for the rest of southeastern Minnesota, the rest of the eastern two-thirds of Iowa, the rest of the western half of Illinois, and the rest of the southeastern three quarters of Wisconsin (south of a Minneapolis, MN to Minoqua to Marinette, MI line). A weak cold front will move from Minnesota and Wisconsin into Iowa and Illinois this evening. The air ahead of the front will be mild to warm and moderately humid, causing thunderstorms to develop along the cold front. A few severe thunderstorms are possible this evening, with hail and high winds being the main threats. The severe thunderstorm threat will end with the passage of the cold front on Thursday night.
