The Storm Prediction Center says that there is a MARGINAL RISK of severe thunderstorms for Thursday and Thursday night for the eastern third of Iowa, the northern half of Illinois, and the southwestern quarter of Wisconsin (south of a La Crosse to Tomah to Portage to Kenosha line). A warm front will lift through the central Midwest on Thursday. Thunderstorms will develop along and ahead of the warm front, with the possibility of isolated severe thunderstorms, mainly Thursday afternoon and evening. Hail will be the main threat although some wind shear could lead to the possibility of high winds. The severe weather threat should lessen or end after sunset on Thursday evening. There may also be a small threat for severe thunderstorms on Friday as the warm front continues to lift from Illinois and Iowa into Wisconsin.
