Tonight will be mostly cloudy, mild and muggy with scattered showers and thunderstorms as a warm front slowly approaches and moves into southern Wisconsin. Areas of fog are also possible. Temperatures will fall to the upper 60s by late evening; overnight low temperatures will be in the middle 60s by early Friday morning.
On Friday, there is a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms early in the day. Then as the warm front moves into central Wisconsin, skies will become partly sunny, and it will turn very warm to hot and more humid with high temperatures near 90 degrees, and afternoon heat index readings near 95 degrees.
The warm front will stall in northern Wisconsin by late Friday afternoon, and begin moving southward as a cold front later Friday night into Saturday. Expect variably cloudy skies, muggy conditions, and scattered showers and thunderstorms on Friday night, with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms lingering into Saturday morning. The remainder of the day will be partly sunny, hot, and humid with high temperatures near 90 degrees, and heat index values in the lower to middle 90s. There is a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorms in the afternoon. The cold front will move south of Wisconsin by Saturday night ending any chances for rain, and lowering the humidity. Skies will be partly sunny on Sunday, and it will be warm, but less humid with high temperatures near 80 degrees.
Monday will be variably cloudy and warm with high temperatures in the lower 80s. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will develop on Monday, mainly in the afternoon and at night as low pressure approaches Wisconsin from the west. Tuesday and Wednesday will be mostly cloudy, warm and humid with scattered showers and thunderstorms. High temperatures for both days will reach the lower 80s.
The chances of showers and thunderstorms will be a bit less on Thursday as the slow-moving storm system begins to head to the east. High temperatures will be near 80 degrees. As a high-pressure system returns on Friday, skies will become partly sunny. It will be breezy and not as humid with high temperatures in the upper 70s.

NOTES:
The Storm Prediction Center says that there is a MARGINAL RISK of severe thunderstorms tonight for extreme southeastern Minnesota, extreme northeastern Iowa, extreme northern Illinois, and the southwestern third of Wisconsin (south of a Rochester, MN to Eau Claire to Stevens Point to Sheboygan line). A warm front will slowly lift into eastern Iowa, northern Illinois, and perhaps eventually into far southern Wisconsin tonight. Thunderstorms will develop along and ahead of the warm front, with the possibility of isolated severe thunderstorms. Hail will be the main threat north of the warm front although some wind shear could lead to the possibility of high winds near or just south of the warm front.
There is a SLIGHT RISK of severe thunderstorms Friday and Friday night for much of the southern two-thirds on Minnesota, and much of the northern two-thirds of Wisconsin (west of a Superior to Rhinelander to Appleton to Beaver Dam to Richland Center to La Crosse Line), and a MARGINAL RISK of severe thunderstorms for most of the rest of Minnesota, extreme northeastern Iowa, extreme northeastern Illinois, and the rest of Wisconsin. The warm front will move into northern Wisconsin by late Friday afternoon, with scattered thunderstorms along and ahead of it; hail would be the main threats from these thunderstorms. The front will then begin dropping slowly southward as a cold front by Friday night as an upper air disturbance moves from Minnesota to Wisconsin later Friday night. Severe thunderstorms should develop from northwestern Minnesota into northwestern Wisconsin, moving to the southeast on Friday night through the rest of Minnesota and Wisconsin. High winds and hail will be the main threats although the threat for an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out, especially near the front in central Minnesota and northern Wisconsin during Friday evening.
