High pressure will settle across the region today and remain in place through the weekend. Skies will be mostly sunny with highs reaching the middle 80s Friday and Saturday. On Sunday, very warm and humid air will return with partly sunny skies, breezy winds and highs in the upper 80s to around 90. Heat index values will be as warm as the middle 90s on Sunday.
A cold front will sag south through Wisconsin on Monday, bringing a chance of showers and thunderstorms to the southern part of the state. Monday will be breezy, very warm and humid with highs in the middle 80s.
By Tuesday, the cold front will be south of Wisconsin, but we may still see some clouds spilling into the southern part of the state for the first part of the day. Skies should become partly sunny on Tuesday, and it will be cooler and less humid. Highs will reach the middle 70s. Wednesday will be mostly sunny and pleasant with highs in the middle 70s. Thursday and Friday will remain quiet with mostly to partly sunny skies. Highs will reach the upper 70s Thursday, and the lower to middle 80s Friday.
