Skies will be partly cloudy tonight, with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms this evening. Humidity levels will remain high through the evening, so if thunderstorms do develop, a strong to severe thunderstorm can't be ruled out. It will be mild, as temperatures fall to the middle 70s by late evening; overnight low temperatures will fall to the middle 60s by morning.
Thursday will be variably cloudy and not as warm with a chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. High temperatures will be in the lower 80s. Showers should end on Thursday evening.
Friday will be variably cloudy and a little cooler with a chance of showers in the afternoon. Highs will only reach the middle 70s.
For the weekend, Saturday will be partly sunny with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. High temperatures will be near 80 degrees. Sunday will be variably cloudy, warm and more humid with scattered showers and thunderstorms. High temperatures will reach the lower 80s.
Monday will also be variably cloudy, warm, and humid, with scattered showers and thunderstorms and high temperatures in the middle 80s.
A warm front will approach southern Wisconsin on Tuesday, and should push through the state on Wednesday morning. Tuesday will be partly sunny, very warm and humid with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. High temperatures will reach the middle 80s, and heat index values will reach the upper 80s to near 90 degrees.
Once the warm front moves to the north, some of the hottest weather of the summer may arrive for the second half of next week. Wednesday will become breezy, hot and humid with partly sunny skies. Highs will be near 90 degrees, and heat index values will reach the middle and upper 90s.

NOTES:
The Storm Prediction Center says there is a SLIGHT RISK of severe thunderstorms for tonight for the eastern quarter of Iowa, all of Illinois, and the southeastern half of Wisconsin (south of a La Crosse to Antigo to Door County line), and a MARGINAL RISK of severe thunderstorms for the southeastern quarter of Minnesota, the rest of Iowa, and the rest of Wisconsin (except for the extreme northwestern corner). A cold front passing through central Wisconsin to central Iowa will move through the rest of southern Wisconsin on Wednesday night. With very warm and humid air in place ahead of the front, and a weather disturbance arriving from the west, thunderstorms are expected to develop along and ahead of the cold front from Iowa into northwestern Wisconsin, moving southeastward into southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois. A few severe thunderstorms are possible, with high winds and hail as the main threats. The threat for severe weather will end with the passage of the cold front Wednesday night.
