Tonight will be partly cloudy, warm and very muggy with any showers and thunderstorms ending. Some patchy fog may develop overnight. Temperatures will fall into the upper 70s by late evening; overnight low temperatures will fall to the middle 70s by morning. Heat index values will make it feel more like 80 to 85 degrees through the night.

Thursday will be partly sunny, breezy, hot, and humid. High temperatures will climb to the middle 90s; with afternoon heat index values around 105 degrees. For that reason, the National Weather Service has issued an Excessive Heat Warning throughout all of southern Wisconsin from noon Thursday through 7 PM Friday evening. Some showers and thunderstorms will develop in northern Wisconsin on Thursday along a weak cold front, and may reach southern Wisconsin on Thursday night. Thursday night will remain warm and very muggy with lows in the upper 70s, and heat index values in the 80s.

Friday will be partly sunny, hot and humid with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. High temperatures will reach the lower 90s, and heat index values will once again push into the triple digits. If the thunderstorms miss southern Wisconsin, Friday could be a few degrees hotter than forecast.

For the weekend, Saturday will be variably cloudy, hot and humid with high temperatures near 90 degrees. Heat index values will be in the upper 90s to around 100 degrees. There will be a chance of showers and thunderstorms Saturday as a weak cold front in Illinois tries to push northward as a warm front toward Wisconsin. The chance of showers and thunderstorms will continue Sunday as a cold front moves to the southeast through Wisconsin. Sunday will be variably cloudy, very warm and humid with highs in the upper 80s, and heat index values will be in the middle to upper 90s.

Monday and Tuesday will be partly sunny, very warm, and a little less humid with high temperatures in the middle 80s and heat index values in the upper 80s.

Wednesday will be variably cloudy, very warm, and a little more humid with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Highs will reach the middle 80s, with heat index values in the upper 80s to the lower 90s.
