Tonight will be partly cloudy and mild; patchy fog is possible overnight. Temperatures will fall to the upper 60s by late evening; overnight low temperatures will fall to the lower 60s by morning.

Monday will be partly sunny, very warm, and a little more humid. High temperatures will be in the middle to the upper 80s; heat index values will reach to the lower 90s at times.

A warm front will approach Wisconsin on Monday night and slowly move through the state on Tuesday. Skies will become mostly cloudy on Monday night with scattered showers and thunderstorms developing overnight. Tuesday will be variably cloudy, very warm, and humid with a chance of showers and thunderstorms as the warm front moves through the area; high temperatures will be in the upper 80s with heat indices in the middle 90s.

We will be back to hot and humid weather for the middle part of the week. Wednesday will be partly sunny, hot, and humid with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. High temperatures will be in the lower 90s, and heat index values will be in the upper 90s to lower 100s. Thursday will be partly sunny, hot and humid again with high temperatures in the lower 90s with heat index values in the upper 90s and lower 100s.

A cold front will move through Wisconsin on Thursday night. Scattered showers and thunderstorms could develop as early as later Thursday afternoon here in southern Wisconsin, but the best chance of showers and thunderstorms will be on Thursday night with the passage of the cold front. Any showers and thunderstorms will end early on Friday, with skies becoming partly sunny. It will still be very warm, but should begin turning a little less humid on Friday afternoon with high temperatures in the middle 80s, and heat index values reaching the upper 80s.

For next weekend, Saturday will be partly sunny and warm with high temperatures in the lower 80s. Sunday will be partly sunny, a little warmer, and more humid with high temperatures in the middle 80s and heat index values approaching 90 degrees. There is a chance of showers and thunderstorms later on Sunday afternoon or on Sunday night.

NOTES:
The Storm Prediction Center says that there is a SLIGHT RISK of severe thunderstorms on Monday and Monday night across much of the southwestern two-thirds of Minnesota, and extreme northeastern Iowa, and a MARGINAL RISK of severe thunderstorms over the rest of Minnesota (except for the northeastern Arrowhead region), the rest of the northern third of Iowa, and far western Wisconsin (west of a Superior to Tomah to Prairie du Chien line). As a hot and humid air mass build eastward into the Midwest, a warm front from eastern Nebraska to northern Missouri will move to southern Minnesota to eastern Iowa by early Tuesday morning. Thunderstorms will develop along and ahead of the warm front on Monday afternoon from southwestern Minnesota into western Iowa, moving eastward toward western Wisconsin by early Tuesday morning. High winds, hail, and heavy rainfall are the main threats, with the severe thunderstorm activity becoming more isolated as it moves into eastern Minnesota and far western Wisconsin overnight.

There is a MARGINAL RISK of severe thunderstorms for Tuesday and Tuesday night over the southeastern quarter of Minnesota, the northeastern third of Iowa, the northern third of Illinois, and the southern two-thirds of Wisconsin (south of a Minneapolis, MN to Rice Lake to Marinette line). Weakening thunderstorms early on Tuesday morning over western Wisconsin and a warm front approaching western Wisconsin and northern Illinois will provide the focus areas for thunderstorms development on Tuesday afternoon and Tuesday night. Isolated severe thunderstorms are possible, with high winds, hail, and heavy rainfall as the main threats.
