Tonight will be variably cloudy, mild and muggy with a continued slight chance of a shower or a thunderstorm. Some patchy fog may also develop. Temperatures will fall into the lower 70s by early Wednesday morning.
Wednesday will be variably cloudy, very warm and humid with scattered showers and thunderstorms developing, mainly late in the day as a cold front approaches from the west. A few storms could become strong or severe. High temperatures will reach the upper 80s, with heat index values in the lower to the middle 90s. Wednesday night will be variably cloudy, mild and muggy with scattered showers and thunderstorms. The threat of strong or severe storms will end with the passage of the cold front Wednesday evening. Temperatures will fall into the upper 60s by early Thursday morning.
Thursday will be partly sunny, not quite as warm and becoming less humid with high temperatures dropping back into the lower 80s. There is a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm. Friday will be partly sunny and pleasant with high temperatures in the upper 70s.
For the weekend, Saturday will be partly sunny and pleasant with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. High temperatures will be near 80 degrees. Sunday will be partly sunny and warm with another slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. High temperatures will be in the lower 80s.
Very warm and humid conditions will return for early next week, along with better chances of showers and thunderstorms. Monday will be variably cloudy with high temperatures in the middle 80s.

There is a SLIGHT RISK of severe thunderstorms for Wednesday and Wednesday night for extreme southeastern Minnesota, all of Iowa, the northern two-thirds of Illinois, and the southern half of Wisconsin (south of a Rochester, MN to Stevens Point to Green Bay line, and a MARGINAL RISK of severe thunderstorms for the rest of the southeastern quarter of Minnesota, the rest of the northern three-quarters of Illinois, and the rest of the southeastern three-quarters of Wisconsin (south of a Rice lake to eagle River line). A cold front passing through central Wisconsin to central Iowa will move through the rest of southern Wisconsin on Wednesday night. With very warm and humid air in place ahead of the front, and a weather disturbance arriving from the west, thunderstorms are expected to develop along and ahead of the cold front from eastern Iowa into western Wisconsin, moving eastward into southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois. A few severe thunderstorms are possible, with high winds, hail, and heavy rainfall as the main threats, although isolated tornadoes may be possible where thunderstorm develop initially takes place.
