This afternoon will be variably cloudy, very warm and humid. High temperatures will reach the upper 80s, with heat index values in the lower to the middle 90s. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will develop as a cold front moves out of Minnesota and Iowa. This may be a broken line of storms as it arrives in Wisconsin. Some storms could become strong or severe with large hail and gusty winds.
Tonight will be mild with scattered showers and thunderstorms ending. The threat of strong or severe storms will end with the passage of the cold front. Skies will become partly cloudy overnight and temperatures will fall into the middle 60s by early Thursday morning.
Thursday will be variably cloudy and not quite as warm with high temperatures dropping back into the lower 80s. There is a chance of showers, mainly in the afternoon. Friday will be partly sunny and pleasant with high temperatures in the middle to upper 70s.
For the weekend, Saturday will be partly sunny with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. High temperatures will be near 80 degrees. Sunday will be variably cloudy, warm and more humid with a little better chance of showers and thunderstorms. High temperatures will reach the lower 80s.
Very warm and humid conditions will return for next week, along with chances for showers and thunderstorms. High temperatures will reach the middle 80s on Monday, with variably cloudy skies and scattered showers and thunderstorms. Heat index values will be around 90. Tuesday will be variably cloudy and very warm, but not as humid with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. High temperatures will reach the middle 80s.

NOTES:
The Storm Prediction Center says there is a SLIGHT RISK of severe thunderstorms today and tonight for southeastern Minnesota, most of Iowa, all of Illinois, and the southeastern three-quarters of Wisconsin (south of a Hudson to Rhinelander line), and a MARGINAL RISK of severe thunderstorms for the rest of the southeastern third of Minnesota, and the rest of Wisconsin. A cold front passing through central Wisconsin to central Iowa will move through the rest of southern Wisconsin on Wednesday night. With very warm and humid air in place ahead of the front, and a weather disturbance arriving from the west, thunderstorms are expected to develop along and ahead of the cold front from Iowa into northwestern Wisconsin, moving southeastward into southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois. A few severe thunderstorms are possible, with high winds, hail, and heavy rainfall as the main threats. The threat for severe weather will end with the passage of the cold front tonight.
