For the weekend, Saturday will be partly sunny, hot and humid with high temperatures in the lower 90s. Heat index values will be in the upper 90s to low 100s. A chance of showers and thunderstorms will develop, mainly later in the day, and showers and thunderstorms will become more likely at night. Showers and thunderstorms will end early Sunday, and it will remain partly sunny, hot and humid the rest of the day with highs in the lower 90s and heat index values near 100.
Monday and Tuesday will be partly sunny, very warm and humid with high temperatures in the middle 80s and heat index values in the upper 80s and lower 90s.

The Storm Prediction Center says is a SLIGHT RISK of severe thunderstorms Saturday and Saturday night over all of Minnesota (except for the far northeast),, the northern third of Iowa, and much of the western half of Wisconsin (west of an Ashland to Stevens Point to Prairie du Chien line), and a MARGINAL RISK of severe thunderstorms over the rest of Minnesota, the rest of Iowa, the northern quarter of Illinois, and the rest of Wisconsin. A weak warm front will approach southern Wisconsin by late Saturday afternoon, as a cold front moves into western Minnesota. Strong to severe thunderstorms may develop from later Saturday afternoon into Saturday night along both of these fronts. High winds, hail, and heavy rainfall will be the main threats, although an isolated tornado may be possible where thunderstorm development initially takes place, probably over Minnesota. Thunderstorms may form a squall line with a greater potential for damaging winds during the evening from eastern Minnesota and northern Iowa into western Wisconsin. The line of thunderstorms will weaken overnight, although isolated severe thunderstorms with a threat for high winds and hail may still be possible into eastern Wisconsin and northern Illinois.
