Wednesday will be variably cloudy, very warm and humid with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, especially in the morning. Highs will reach the middle 80s with heat index values into the upper 80s to lower 90s. Thursday will be partly sunny, very warm and humid with another slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. Highs will be in the middle 80s with heat index values in the lower 90s.
A powerful cold front will approach the area on Friday. It will still be very warm and humid with highs in the upper 80s and heat index values into the middle 90s, but showers and thunderstorms will develop late in the day or at night along the front. Showers and thunderstorms will continue Saturday, with cooler highs in the upper 70s and falling humidity. Sunday will be partly sunny and cooler with highs in the lower to middle 70s.
