A wave of low pressure moving in from the west will bring some showers and thunderstorms to southern Wisconsin tonight. It will be a mild and muggy night with temperatures falling into the upper 60s by early Wednesday morning.

Wednesday will be variably cloudy, warm and humid with continued chances for showers and thunderstorms. Highs will reach the lower 80s. Any lingering showers will end early Wednesday evening with skies becoming partly cloudy. It will be another muggy night with lows in the middle 60s.

Thursday will be partly sunny, very warm and humid. Highs will be in the middle 80s with heat index values in the lower 90s.

A powerful cold front will approach the area on Friday. It will still be very warm and humid with highs in the upper 80s and heat index values into the lower and middle 90s. Showers and thunderstorms will develop late in the day or Friday night along the front. Showers and thunderstorms will continue into Saturday, with cooler highs in the upper 70s and continued humidity. Showers will come to an end on Sunday, with skies becoming partly sunny. It will be cooler and less humid, with highs reaching the lower 70s.

Monday and Tuesday will be partly sunny and pleasant with highs in the middle to upper 70s.
