Temperatures will fall to the upper 70s by late evening; overnight low temperatures will fall to near 70 degrees by morning.
Thursday will be partly sunny, hot, and humid with high temperatures near 90 degrees; and heat index values around 100 degrees. Thre is a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms late in the day, mainly northwest of Madison as a cold front approaches southern Wisconsin from Minnesota.
Showers and thunderstorms will move through southern Wisconsin on Thursday night with the passage of the cold front. Patchy fog will also be possible Thursday night, and temperatures will fall into the upper 60s by early Friday morning. Friday will be partly sunny, not as warm and will turn less humid. High temperatures will reach the lower 80s.
Pleasant summer weather will continue for the weekend, Saturday will be mostly sunny and warm with high temperatures in the lower 80s. Sunday will be partly sunny and will continue warm with high temperatures reaching the lower 80s. Monday will be continued warm with partly sunny skies and high temperatures in the lower 80s.
Tuesday will be variably cloudy, breezy, warmer and more humid with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. High temperatures will reach the upper 80s, and heat index values will reach the lower to middle 90s. Wednesday will be partly sunny, hot and humid with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. High temperatures will be near 90 degrees with heat index values in the middle 90s to the lower 100s.

The Storm Prediction Center says there is a SLIGHT RISK of severe thunderstorms on Thursday and Thursday night across extreme southeastern Minnesota, extreme northeastern Iowa, and the northwestern half of Wisconsin (west of an Iron Mountain, MI to Stevens Point to Prairie du Chien line), and a MARGINAL RISK of severe thunderstorms over the rest of the eastern half of Minnesota, the rest of the northeastern third of Iowa, extreme northwestern Illinois, and the rest of Wisconsin. Hot and humid air will cover much of the Midwest on Thursday. A cold front will move through Minnesota, reaching Wisconsin and Iowa on Thursday evening, and then into Illinois by late Thursday night. A few severe thunderstorms are possible along and ahead of the cold front, with high winds, hail and heavy rainfall as the main threats. The severe thunderstorm threat should lessen overnight, and will end with the passage of the cold front later Thursday night.
