NOTES:
The Storm Prediction Center says there is a SLIGHT RISK of severe thunderstorms for tonight across extreme southeastern Minnesota, the northeastern half of Iowa, and most of the southeastern two-thirds of Wisconsin (southeast of a Rochester, MN to Wausau to Rhinelander line), and a MARGINAL RISK of severe thunderstorms over the rest of the southeastern quarter of Minnesota, the rest of Iowa, extreme northwestern Illinois, and the rest of the southeastern three-quarters of Wisconsin (south and east of a Minneapolis, MN to Minoqua line). Hot and humid air covers much of the Midwest. A cold front will move through Minnesota, reaching Wisconsin and Iowa this evening, and then will move into Illinois overnight. A few severe thunderstorms are possible along and ahead of the cold front, with high winds, hail and heavy rainfall as the main threats. The severe thunderstorm threat should lessen overnight, and will end with the passage of the cold front.
