An area of low pressure will track across northern Illinois today. This will keep scattered showers and thunderstorms in the forecast through the day. These storms have plenty of moisture to work with so heavy rainfall is possible with any of the stronger storms, especially to the south. Highs will reach the upper 70s, and it will remain humid throughout the day. Showers and thunderstorms will come to an end tonight, and some areas of fog may develop. Temperatures will fall into the middle to upper 60s by early Saturday morning.
The weekend will be mainly quiet with humidity levels falling a bit. Skies will become partly sunny on Saturday with highs in the lower 80s. Sunday will be mostly sunny. Highs will reach the lower 80s once again.
Monday will remain mostly sunny with highs in the lower to middle 80s. Tuesday will be partly sunny with highs in the middle 80s. Wednesday through Friday will be variably cloudy and more humid with chances of showers and thunderstorms. Highs will reach the middle 80s Wednesday through Friday.
