Today will be variably cloudy, very warm, and humid with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. High temperatures will be in the middle 80s, with heat index values between 90 and 95 degrees. Tonight will be mostly cloudy, mild, and muggy with scattered showers and thunderstorms and some patchy fog. Low temperatures will fall into the upper 60s by early Wednesday. 

A stationary front will begin working northward as a warm front on Wednesday. Temperatures will continue to warm up for the middle part of the week. Wednesday will be partly sunny, very warm and humid with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. High temperatures will reach the upper 80s, and heat index values will be in the lower to middle 90s. Thursday will be partly sunny, hot and humid with high temperatures near 90 degrees, and heat index values in the upper 90s and lower 100s.

A cold front will move through Wisconsin on Thursday night. There is a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms later Thursday afternoon, but the best chance of showers and thunderstorms will be on Thursday night with the passage of the cold front. Any showers and thunderstorms will end on Friday morning, with skies becoming partly sunny. It won't be quite as warm, but it should turn less humid by Friday afternoon with high temperatures in the middle 80s, and heat index values reaching the upper 80s.

For the weekend, Saturday will be partly sunny and warm with high temperatures in the lower 80s. Sunday will be partly sunny and warm with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. High temperatures will reach the lower 80s. Monday will be a repeat of Sunday with partly sunny skies, a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms and high temperatures in the lower 80s.

NOTES:
The Storm Prediction Center says that there is a MARGINAL RISK of severe thunderstorms for today and tonight over southeastern Minnesota, the eastern half of Iowa, the northwestern third of Illinois, and most of Wisconsin, west of a line from Lake Geneva to Iron Mountain, MI. A weak disturbance may provide enough instability for shower and thunderstorm development later today. Isolated severe thunderstorms are possible, with high winds, hail, and heavy rainfall as the main threats.
