A frontal boundary will remain to our north this afternoon and tonight, with warm and humid air in place across the region. This afternoon will be partly sunny, hot and humid with high temperatures in the upper 80s to near 90 degrees. Heat index values will be as high as the upper 90s. Tonight will be partly cloudy, mild and muggy with patchy fog possible. Temperatures will fall into the lower 70s.

Thursday will remain very warm and humid with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Highs will reach the upper 80s with heat index values in the middle to upper 90s. There is a better chance of showers and thunderstorms Thursday night into Friday as a cold front and an area of low pressure passes through the region. Highs will reach the middle 80s Friday with heat index values in the upper 80s to the lower 90s. 

The weekend will be mainly quiet with falling humidity levels. Skies will be partly sunny on Saturday and Sunday, and highs will reach the lower 80s. Monday and Tuesday will remain quiet with partly sunny skies and highs in the lower 80s.
