An area of low pressure will track across northern Illinois this afternoon, keeping scattered showers and thunderstorms in the forecast. Because the storms will have plenty of moisture to work with, any storms that develop may produce heavy downpours of rain, especially south and east of Madison. Highs will reach the upper 70s, and it will remain humid throughout the day. Showers and thunderstorms will come to an end later tonight, and some areas of fog may develop. Temperatures will fall into the middle to upper 60s by early Saturday morning.
Saturday will be variably cloudy and continued humid with highs reaching the lower 80s. Sunday will be mostly sunny and not quite as humid with highs in the lower 80s.
Monday will remain mostly sunny with highs in the lower to middle 80s. Tuesday will be partly sunny with highs in the middle 80s. Wednesday through Friday will be variably cloudy and more humid with chances of showers and thunderstorms. Highs will reach the middle 80s Wednesday through Friday.
