A frontal boundary will remain well to our northwest for the next few days, allowing heat and humidity to increase across the region. Tonight will be partly cloudy, mild and muggy with low temperatures in the upper 60s.

Thursday will remain hot and humid with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms during the day, mainly northwest of Madison. Highs will reach the lower 90s with heat index values in the middle 90s to low 100s. There is a better chance of showers and thunderstorms Thursday night into Friday as a cold front and an area of low pressure passes through the region. The weekend will begin with a slight chance of showers or a thunderstorm as a trailing area of low pressure passes south of Wisconsin. Highs will be near 80 degrees. Sunday and Monday will be partly sunny and warm with highs in the lower 80s.
