This afternoon will be increasingly cloudy as a cold front approaches from the northwest. It will be warm and humid with highs in the lower 80s. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will develop as the front passes through the area. Some storms may be strong or severe with large hail and damaging winds. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue into this evening, but will come to an end overnight. Skies should become partly cloudy late tonight, with cooler and less humid conditions settling across the region. Temperatures will fall into the middle 50s by early Tuesday morning.
High pressure will influence the region on Tuesday with partly sunny skies and warm temperatures. Highs will be in the upper 70s to near 80 degrees. Tuesday night will be partly cloudy and comfortable with temperatures falling into the middle 50s by early Wednesday morning.
A frontal boundary will set up across the Midwest through the rest of the week, and remain relatively stationary, which will bring a chance of showers and thunderstorms every day Wednesday through Sunday. On Wednesday it will be humid and very mild as the front will be farther to the north. Highs will be in the upper 70s. The front will shift a bit farther south on Thursday, leading to scattered showers and thunderstorms and highs in the upper 70s.
On Friday, the front will lift back north as a low pressure system approaches. It will be very mild and humid with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Highs will reach the middle to upper 70s.
A low pressure system will move in on Saturday, with a chance of showers and thunderstorms developing. Highs will reach the middle 70s. The chance of showers and thunderstorms will continue on Sunday, with breezy winds and highs in the lower 70s.
