The stationary front has finally shifted southward into eastern Iowa and northern Illinois. Widespread rain will remain closer to the front today, but a chance of showers and isolated thunderstorms will remain with the best chances for rain south/southwest of Madison. This afternoon will be mostly cloudy and a bit cooler. High temperatures will be near 70 degrees. Tonight will be mostly cloudy with areas of fog and a slight chance of showers. Low temperatures will be in the upper 50s.
On Saturday, skies will be variably cloudy, and there will be a slight chance of isolated showers. High temperatures will reach the middle 70s. A storm system and a cold front will head toward Wisconsin on Sunday. Sunday will be mostly cloudy, and it will be breezy and mild with scattered showers and thunderstorms. High temperatures will be in the middle 70s.
A cold front will move through Wisconsin by Sunday night, with a slight chance of showers continuing Monday. Skies will be mostly cloudy, and it will be breezy and cooler with high temperatures in the lower 60s. Low pressure aloft will continue through the Midwest behind the cold front for Tuesday, with variably cloudy skies and a slight chance of showers. High temperatures will reach the middle 60s.
High pressure will then move in for the middle of the week. Wednesday will be partly sunny with highs in the upper 60s to around 70, and Thursday will be partly sunny and mild with highs in the lower 70s.
A slight chance of showers will develop for Friday and Saturday, and it will be variably cloudy and mild with highs near or slightly above 70.
