A cold front will move through southern Wisconsin overnight. Skies will become mostly cloudy tonight, with a period of snow showers or flurries developing. Temperatures will fall to the middle teens by late evening; overnight low temperatures will fall to the middle single digits by morning. Wind chills could be as cold as -5 to -15 by morning.
Tuesday will be partly sunny and colder. High temperatures will only get back to around 10 degrees. Wind chills will remain below zero for much of the day. Tuesday night will be partly cloudy and very cold with lows near zero degrees. Wind chills will range from -5 to -15 by early Wednesday morning.
Wednesday will be partly sunny, breezy and continued very cold. Highs will only be near ten degrees, and wind chills will range from -5 to -15 during the day.
The coldest air of the season so far will arrive on Thursday. Temperatures will start in the single digits below zero Thursday morning, with wind chills ranging from -10 to -20. Skies will be mostly sunny during the day, but high temperatures will only reach the upper single digits. Wind chills will remain below zero through the day.
Friday won't be quite as cold, but it will be mostly cloudy and breezy with snow developing as a winter storm system moves in from the southern Plains. Some snow accumulation is possible Friday and Friday night into Saturday morning. High temperatures will reach the upper teens.
The storm system will move eastward on Saturday, followed by another blast of cold arctic air on Sunday. Saturday will be mostly cloudy, becoming windy and turning colder with snow tapering to flurries. Some additional snow accumulation is still possible. High temperatures will reach the lower 20s, but temperatures will fall back into the teens by late afternoon. Sunday will be partly sunny, breezy and colder. Low temperatures will be near zero, while wind chills could be as cold as -20. High temperatures will only be near ten degrees.
Monday will be partly sunny, breezy and not as cold with high temperatures in the middle teens.
