Mild air flowing over the fresh snow on the ground has lead to fog development across southern Wisconsin. Tonight will be mostly cloudy with fog developing; some dense fog is possible. Scattered flurries and a little freezing drizzle is possible overnight. Temperatures will hold nearly steady in the 30s this evening; overnight low temperatures will be in the upper 20s to near 30 degrees by morning.
Tuesday will be mostly cloudy with fog, flurries, and some freezing drizzle in the morning. There may be a little sunshine developing in the afternoon as a cold front moves through southern Wisconsin and dries out the air. High temperatures will be in the middle 30s. Skies on Tuesday night will become partly cloudy and it will turn colder with low temperatures falling into the upper teens by early Wednesday morning. Wednesday will be variably cloudy, breezy and colder behind the front. High temperatures will only reach the middle 20s.
Cold weather will linger across Wisconsin for the rest of the week. Thursday will be mostly cloudy, windy and cold with scattered flurries. High temperatures will only reach the lower 20s. Friday will be partly sunny, breezy and continued cold with high temperatures again in the lower 20s.
For the weekend, a new storm system will affect Wisconsin. Skies on Saturday will become mostly cloudy with a chance of flurries developing. High temperatures will reach the middle to the upper 20s. An area of low pressure will move through Wisconsin from Saturday night into Sunday with light snow developing on Saturday night, lasting into Sunday. The snow may mix with rain on Sunday afternoon as temperatures climb into the middle 30s.
Any snow or rain should end on Sunday evening. Behind the storm, Monday will be partly sunny, breezy, and colder with high temperatures in the middle 20s.
