A cold front will move through Wisconsin tonight, accompanied by flurries or very light snow showers this evening. Some clearing may develop late tonight, and temperatures will fall into the middle single digits. Wind chills will be as cold as -15 by early Tuesday.
Tuesday will be partly sunny and colder as high temperatures top out around 10 degrees. Wind chills could be as cold as -5 to -15 during the day. Tuesday night will be partly cloudy and bitterly cold with lows near zero degrees. Wind chills will range from -5 to -20 by early Wednesday morning.
The coldest air of the season so far will arrive mid-week. Wednesday and Thursday will be partly to mostly sunny and very cold. Wednesday will be breezy as well. Wind chills will range from -10 to -20 early in the morning, while actual air temperatures will be near zero or in the single digits below zero. During the day, high temperatures will top out in the upper single digits above zero, although wind chills should mainly stay below zero even in the daytime.
Friday won't be quite as cold, but it will be mostly cloudy and breezy with snow developing as a storm system moves in from the southern Plains. Some snow accumulation is possible from Friday afternoon through Friday night. High temperatures will reach the lower 20s.
For the weekend, the storm system will move eastward on Saturday, followed by another blast of cold air on Sunday. Saturday will be mostly cloudy, windy and turning colder with light snow tapering to flurries and ending. High temperatures will be in the lower to the middle 20s, but temperatures will fall back into the teens by late afternoon. Sunday will be partly sunny and colder with low temperatures just above zero, while wind chills be as cold as -15. High temperatures will only reach the lower teens.
