The coldest air of the season so far will arrive on Thursday. Temperatures will start in the single digits below zero Thursday morning, with wind chills ranging from -10 to -20. Skies will be mostly sunny during the day, but high temperatures will only reach the middle to upper single digits. Wind chills will remain below zero through the day.
Friday won't be quite as cold, but it will be mostly cloudy and breezy with snow developing as a winter storm system moves in from the southern Plains. Some snow accumulation is likely Friday and Friday night. High temperatures will reach the upper teens to around 20.
The storm system will move eastward on Saturday, followed by another blast of cold arctic air on Sunday. Saturday will be mostly cloudy and windy with continued snow showers. Some additional snow accumulation is likely. High temperatures will reach the lower 20s. Sunday will be partly sunny and colder. Low temperatures will be near zero, while wind chills could be as cold as -20. High temperatures will only be near ten degrees.
Monday will be partly sunny and not quite as cold with high temperatures in the middle to upper teens. A warming trend will continue into mid week. It will be partly sunny with highs in the upper 20s on Tuesday and lower 30s on Wednesday.
