A powerful area of low pressure will move across southern Wisconsin this morning, bringing numerous showers and a a few thunderstorms to the area. This will be a strong Fall-like system, but the heaviest rainfall will be in far SE WI. Highs today will be in the lower 70s, but temperatures will fall quickly this afternoon into the evening after the passage of a cold front.
After the cold front and low pressure system pass, very cool air will rush into Wisconsin. Skies will be partly sunny on Thursday with highs near 60. A chance for rain showers will develop Friday with very cool temperatures in the middle 50s.
The weekend looks mostly sunny and we will see a slow warming trend. Highs will be near 60 on Saturday and in the middle 60s on Sunday. There is a chance for showers on Monday, with cooler than average highs in the middle 60s. Temperatures will rise to near 70 by mid-week.
